The other day I was complaining about the spam e-mails generated by my visiting what I though were reputable e-commerce sites. I guess California really is broke since they’ve also sold their soul to the spammers.
I understand that when times are tough you need to do what you can to make ends meet. But for a state lottery organization to resort to raising cash by allowing tracking cookies to be placed on visitors’ computers seems a bit much.
But maybe I’m just an eternal optimist and don’t expect my government to stoop to the same level as some seedy web sites that are out there.
Reality rears its ugly head once again.
